Hillary Muir is an Associate Attorney at AMG Law, PLC, practicing family law in Fredericksburg and Northern Virginia. As an undergraduate, she studied English and philosophy at the University of Virginia. Hillary then served as a paralegal for two years, working on a dramatic variety of both transactional and litigation case types. Then, she returned to the University of Virginia to pursue a law degree, graduating in 2021.
Since beginning to practice family law in November 2024, Hillary has found great meaning and joy in discussing clients' cases with them. She draws on her experience working for a crisis hotline to actively listen to clients. She also draws on her legal experience to help clients feel confident in the meeting room or courtroom.
Hillary also has a background in financial services and securities fraud law, including having served for a time in the Division of Enforcement of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. This experience gives her a unique perspective when examining the financial documents produced by each side in family law cases.
