
Kayla Brown is an associate attorney at AMG Law where she primarily practices family law. She believes the practice of law is a calling and feels privileged to be able to advocate for others. Kayla is passionate about helping and advocating for families and children.
She primarily concentrates her practice on child custody and visitation, grandparent visitation, child and spousal support, domestic protective orders, equitable distribution, and other family law related matters. Ms. Brown also has experience in estate planning, estate administration, and guardianships. Ms. Brown is actively training to be a certified Guardian ad Litem for children.
Ms. Brown graduated from Virginia Tech with a bachelor's degree in Political Science and a minor in Middle Eastern Studies. She obtained her Juris Doctor degree from Southern Illinois University School of Law where she worked extensively with victims of domestic abuse through the legal clinic. Ms. Brown has experience in criminal law after working with indigent individuals in need of legal services.
Ms. Brown is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Virginia, Maryland, the District of Columbia, in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
During her free time, you can find Ms. Brown reading, concentrating on her Spanish lessons, roaming around nearby farmers markets, trying out a new recipe, or volunteering in her community.
