Cambridge L. Baker is a Senior Attorney at AMG Law PLC and has practiced exclusively family law throughout her career as a licensed attorney.  Her practice covers every type of family law matter in Virginia, including separation, divorce, protective orders, custody, visitation and support cases.  She has substantial experience in high net-worth divorces and other complex divorce cases.  Ms. Baker represents clients in Fairfax County, Loudoun County, and all across Northern Virginia. 

Originally from Longmont, Colorado, Ms. Baker grew up most of her life in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.  She graduated from Elon University with a Bachelor of Arts a semester early, having double-majored in Political Science and International Relations, and double-minored in Spanish and Latin American Studies.  She also distinguished herself as a Presidential Scholar.

After completing her undergraduate degree, Ms. Baker worked as a Private Wealth Management Administrative Assistant onsite at Goldman, Sachs & Co. in Boston, Massachusetts.  She then advanced to a position as a Wealth Management Professional in the Private Wealth Management division of Goldman, Sachs & Co. in Washington, D.C. for which she was licensed as a broker with her FINRA Series 7 and 66.  In that role, Ms. Baker worked closely with high-net-worth clients, their attorneys and accountants to provide personalized and high-level financial and investment services.

Ms. Baker left Goldman, Sachs & Co. in 2015 to study law at the University of Richmond School of Law.  Throughout law school, Ms. Baker maintained employment as a Law Clerk with the in-house legal department of CarMax, Inc., a Fortune 500 company based out of Richmond, Virginia.  She further was actively involved in the Trial Advocacy Board, serving in multiple board roles including President, and also served as a Manuscripts Editor on the Richmond Journal of Law and Technology.  She graduated with a Juris Doctor degree and upon graduation was bestowed with the honor of induction into the Order of Barristers, a national honor society for law school graduates who demonstrate exceptional skill in oral advocacy and brief writing.  After passing the Virginia Bar Examination, Ms. Baker worked at Livesay & Myers, P.C. as an Associate Attorney from August 2018 to October 2020, and at Roop Xanttopoulos Babounakis & Klam PLLC from October 2020 to June 2023, two other prominent family law firms in the Northern Virginia area. 

Ms. Baker currently holds a perfect 10.0 rating from Justia and was recognized as a 2023 Super Lawyers Rising Star Honoree in the Washington, D.C. area.  She is well respected as a competent and vigilant advocate for her clients, as well as a strong oral advocate, whether in Court or in out-of-court settlement negotiations.

Cambridge Baker resides with her husband, two young children, and golden retrievers in Loudoun County, Virginia.
